1941 - 1945 MB & 1942 - 1945 GPW
The WW2 era Jeep has been and continues to be one of the most sought after of the vintage Jeep models. Willys Overland began production of the MB in 1941. When Ford came into the contract to help produce the Jeep in 1942, the Jeep was standardized to ensure parts were interchangeable between the Ford GPW and Willys MB models.
There are some very good books available for more detailed information regarding the WW2 Jeeps. The All American Wonder books, Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, are very good books for those engaged in a restoration. The Standardized Wartime Jeep is another good reference. These and others are available in our catalog.
